- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Prepare cake pans with butter and parchment paper
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Add eggs one at a time
- Sift dry ingredients separately
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture

- Divide batter between prepared pans
- Bake for 25-30 minutes
- Cool completely before frosting
