  • 4 cups fresh peaches peeled and sliced

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • For the batter:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the glaze:
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

Equipment

  • 1-9x13-inch baking dish – For baking the pudding evenly.
  • 2-Mixing bowls – One for the batter and another for the glaze.
  • 3-Measuring cups & spoons – To ensure accurate ingredient portions.
  • 4-Whisk or spoon – For mixing the batter and glaze.
  • 5-Knife & cutting board – To peel and slice fresh peaches.
  • 6-Saucepan or kettle – For boiling water for the glaze.
  • 7-Oven mitts – To handle the hot baking dish safely.

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In the dish, combine peaches, sugar, and melted butter. Spread evenly.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and vanilla; stir until smooth. Pour over the peaches (do not stir).
  4. In a separate bowl, dissolve brown sugar in boiling water. Gently pour over the batter (again, do not stir).
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream!
